Dresses
Pre-Raphaelite romance infuses Katrine’s soft, elegant and feminine designs, a vintage quality but in a truly modern way. Incorporating luxurious and delicate fabrics such as sand-washed crepes, velvets, silk satins, chiffons and French lace and tulle of the highest quality, each piece of the wedding dress is a labour of love for the designer.
Award-winning Danish designer Katrine Mogensen has been an established name in bridal couture for 20 years. She is now based in Norfolk, where she has her studio – Katrine Mogensen Bridal Couture in the market town

Process
On your first visit to Katrine's Norfolk studio you will be guided through the design process. Some clients have firm ideas on design, while others take inspiration from Katrine's sample collection; for many it's a combination of the two. You will have the opportunity to try on some wedding dresses from Katrine's collection in order to give you a feel for the right type of design for you.
Drawings are made and when the final design is settled measurements are carefully taken. These are then translated into pattern from which
a calico toile is made up. This mock dress is then fitted and Katrine ensures the design and shape is proportionally correct and flattering to your body.
After the pattern has been perfected your wedding dress will be cut and sewn in your chosen material. Several fittings will follow to ensure a beautiful finish resulting in a truly unique wedding dress that will make you look and feel absolutely fantastic on your wedding day.
“I just wanted to thank you so much for helping me to make our wedding the best day ever. The dress was the most beautiful I have ever seen and it felt absolutely amazing
to wear.”

About Katrine
I am a romantic at heart and my inspiration for my wedding dresses comes from everything that surrounds me – from a rose in the garden to the people that I love.
I was born in Denmark and came to England to study womenswear fashion at Central Saint Martin’s College in London and graduated with honours in 1996.
In 1996 with the help of a grant from the Prince’s Youth Trust I went into partnership designing and making wedding dresses. We sold dresses from our own studio in London and also through Tatters in Harrods, The Wedding Shop, Fulham, Sweet Dreams of Guildford and White of Wimbledon.
“Thank you so much for working your skillful magic and creating my wonderful dress. On the day I felt so elegant, serene and comfortable once my dress was on. It was such a lovely process too, visiting you in Norfolk and watching it take life and become THE DRESS!”
Drusilla
Delicate hand embroidery, silk flowers, cascading crystals and pearl details are hallmarks of Katrine’s unique work.
The following year Horton-Mogensen won the New Designer of the Year award through Brides and Setting up Home magazine.
In 1997, I married and moved to Reepham in Norfolk, where I opened my own studio, Katrine Mogensen Bridal Couture in 1999.
I combine my bridal business with being married with two children and my love of design follows through into the passion I have for creating a family home.
